28 Jan 2015

The International Trade Administration Commission of South Africa (ITAC) has launched a new, interactive and most user-friendly corporate website as part of plans to improve access to information by the public and its stakeholders.

According to ITAC`s Chief Commissioner Mr Siyabulela Tsengiwe, the new website has a simplified navigation structure, completely a new look and feel, a comprehensive overview of the organisational services and also provides the current Commission news and information that can be accessed from the homepage.

“It is our hope that this people-centric website will be more useful to our stakeholders and help to reduce the volume of telephonic enquiries about the work and services provided by the Commission due to its interactivity and advance navigational structure”, said Mr Tsengiwe.

Some of the added features include an online application system for vacancies, tender tracking system which improves transparency by allowing the public and interested business people to track and trace the tendering processes, etc.

Section 32 of the Constitution of the Republic of South Africa states that everyone has the right of access to any information held by the state and any information held by another person and that is required for the exercise or protection of any rights.
