Public warned of fake permits

29 Jan 2015

The International Trade Administration Commission of South Africa (ITAC) has noted with a grave concern, the illegal practices by some individuals who act as ITAC representatives and charge people exorbitant amount of money for the application of import and export permits.

This follows a number of complaints and enquiries from the concerned people whose import and export permits were rejected by the customs authorities at the ports of entry because they were fake and not actually issued by ITAC.

Please note that permits are issued free of charge. For more information about import and export permit application process, and any other business of the Commission, please contact ITAC at 2nd Floor, D-Block, the dti Campus, Sunnyside – Pretoria, or alternatively access website: www.itac.org.za
