  How do we go about applying for or renewing rebate and drawback permits?
  A standard application form has to be obtained from the Tariff Investigations Unit, completed and submitted to ITAC for consideration.
  How long will it take to issue a permit?
  It normally takes one to two weeks from the date that an application is received to the date that a permit is issued.
  What happens to my application after being submitted?
  Receipt is acknowledged and ITAC allocates the application to an investigating officer who will be responsible for compiling a submission on your application for consideration. The investigating officer will contact you if any additional information is required.
  What is the process that is followed by ITAC when considering an application for a permit for rebate or drawback of the duty?
  When considering a permit application, a submission, according to a specific framework, is compiled by an investigating officer for consideration by the Director: Tariff Investigations. A decision to support or reject is communicated to the applicant once the process of considering an application has been completed.
